Are you alive or dead?

I would rather truly be alive than live like the walking dead (i.e. most of the population).
I stay alive by taking in the world how it is - intensely through experiences like Viennese dancing balls or calmly through relaxing activities like meditation or self-reflection.
I feel dead when I numb my brain with activities (usually on electronic devices) that keep it stagnant and dependent on outside sources to feel dopamine.
I stay connected to my reality by literally living every single moment - a skill most people forgot or never really implemented into their lives. So how DO you truly start living?
First, make peace with each moment. In other words, let whatever happens, happen. You can't control it all, and even if you tried, you wouldn't be able to control events happening outside of your scope of influence, so you'll just feel anxiety and overwhelm.
I would rather pass on those emotions and instead let "negative" moments happen to me and feel the full extent of their pain. It's a win-win situation: I get the pain over with right away AND I learn something from it so I don't have to feel it again in the future.
Next, cultivate self-awareness. Know what you're doing, how you're doing it, and why you're doing it. Having this simple skill is going to change your life in a major way - over time, it'll become easy for you to notice when you're wasting your time and energy and when you're multiplying it.
Last but not least, learn to connect with your senses. After all, the definition of being alive is literally you being able to take in this world and what's happening around you with your senses of taste, smell, touch, sight, and hearing - and then using what you took in to make decisions and take actions in accordance with your beliefs and values.
So… are you existing to the fullest extent? Are you truly living your life as you were meant to live it - free and through your senses? Or do you act like the walking dead - mindlessly looking for something else to waste your time and cause you further anxiety and overwhelm?
Be honest with yourself. If you’re not, that’s the worst way to live - in constant self-denial of what you’re doing. Woman up and see your life for what it is.
Open your eyes and finally decide to change your life. Then take fast action to rip out old bad habits and plant the seeds for new, better ones.
When you’ll be ready for the ultimate glow-up in your life to become your most radiant, self-disciplined, mentally strongest self, I’ll be here to guide you. Write to me for more information on how to start your journey to your most alive self :)
